Manager, Import/Export Operations

Title of Position and Location:
Manager, Import/Export - Operations, Piscataway, NJ
Job Function:
- Direct scheduling of pick-up, loading, and delivery of ocean cargo
- Manage analysis of shipping schedules to optimize deliveries and minimize demurrage
- Compute interest rate and port charges and exchange rates
- Determine load factors
- Coordinate docking and loading/unloading of cargo
- Formulate policies on customer issues and resolve customs disputes
- Determine optimal stowage and operations of vessels in North America and Europe
- Direct cost analysis for break-bulk and container shipments
- Interpret international maritime regulations for transport of perishable and dangerous goods
- Manage creation of solutions for vessel allocation and schedule changes
- Direct cash flow analyses, budgets, and budget variances
- Analyze G/P ratio, N/P ration, and current ratio
Qualifications needed:
BBA degree, with concentration in Transport or BS Maritime Administration, plus 8 months experience in job offered.
