Hapag-Lloyd is an international shipping company with more than 150 years of experience. We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the Director of Sales and Customer Service in our Lima, Peru office. This position will report to the General Manager Subarea Peru. The functional responsibilities will ultimately be defined based on the candidate's profiles. Potential responsibilities are listed below.
Tasks
- Develop and maintain the most profitable market position for HL in Peru
- Support other Areas/Regions in developing import market to Sub-area Peru
- Imbalance Management
- Local pricing/contracting activity subject to Regional policies
- Development of GAM/KAM accounts
- Development of reefer cargo
- Maximize/promote e-Business with customers
- Process, document, and trace customers export and import shipments within Sub-area Peru
- Ensure quality of service according to HL standards
- Customized attention to special segments (GAM/KAM/Reefers)
- Ensure a level of productivity in line with RLA targets
- Manage relevant contractual and legal arrangements
Requirements
- Comprehensive experience in liner shipping business including 4-5 yrs management experience
- Leadership skills and ability to motivate people
- Comprehensive knowledge of user application systems
- Attention to detail
- Detailed knowledge of standard business process
- Communicative and customer orientation
- Excellent command of spoken and written Spanish
- Excellent command of spoken and written English preferred
